First try at photography

Awhile back I tried my hand at photography. Not exactly my favorite past time to be blunt but I enjoyed it for the time being. I initially started to take some pictures because my brother wanted to teach me how in a desperate attempt to relieve his boredom. I decided to go along to relieve my own boredom. I have to say it did make for a fun time even though I wasn't any good at it and it did temporarily provide me with some entertainment.

We didn't make it too far from the house for the most part. In fact we mainly stayed in the backyard.I started off taking pictures around the house.I mainly photographed my old art work, which I'm still not really sure how one can mess up so many times taking a picture of an inanimate object but I some how managed. Even though minimal progress was made with my photography skills, we decided we should start moving into the realm of moving subjects.

We eventually brought the dogs outside with us and tried to get any good pictures we could. Most of them came out extremely blurry and illegible as dogs. With a few minor adjustments, some help from an older brother, and a hoard of mouth watering dog treats, I was finally able to snap a few good ones in a sea of blurs. A few weeks later, we went camping in the Davis Mountains and took some amazing pictures, granted I wasn't actually the only one holding the camera for most of the quality pictures, but I would say it was a team effort overall.

My career as a photographer was short lived, with good reason, seeing as I was at a standstill with improvement. I had fun while it lasted though, and I might revisit the job every once and awhile....but probably only the times I'm suffocating with boredom.
